I thank Him for this trait na malakas makaramdam ng nangyayari sa paligid.
We will be retrenched. I've seen it coming, pero parang namanhid na ang utak at katawan ko sa ganitong sitwasyon. They haven't seen me afraid or worried, they keep on asking me, what's your take? Isang ngiti lang ang sinasagot ko, o I would only say, "ganun eh".
Some people would notice parang wala talaga akong pakialam. What should I answer? For me, it's a cycle. Bahagi ng buhay 'yan. Nothing to worry about. Soon, everyone of us will be placed kung anu man ang plano Niya sa atin. We tend to worry and work about it, when we should give a space to Him to work on it. Let Him decide.
Yes, it's official. After more than 1 year and 7 months of serving this company, maybe it's really time to go.
Magkikita na naman kami uli ni LiNa.

Freedom to Roam
The Philippines commemorated the 114th anniversary of our independence yesterday. For many, it's time to look back on what happened more than a century ago, give salute to our heroes, and many more. For me, it's a 'Carless Day' with my bike, Vincent.
Vincent and I took the road from our house in Sampaloc to Downtown Manila. We went to San Miguel, stroll infront of Malacanang Palace, the Ayala Bridge, to the tree-lined Ayala Boulevard, and Rizal Park. Some guards would not let bikers go inside the Rizal Park but for me, "Hey, it's Independence Day. Respect my freedom to roam around."
Like the usual Rizal Park atmosphere, it is very amazing. I'm already fed up with malls and I really prefer to go to a park instead, but nothing beats the warm, happy, worry-free atmosphere in Luneta. Filipinos used the holiday to spend their time with their kids, play around, and even celebrated their birthdays.
I truly salute the whole Armed Forces of the Philippines, (Army, Navy, Air Force) for participating in this special event. I admired how soft they are facing the civilians, away from the barracks and war zones. They made an exhibit featuring their battles, their activities, the soldiers itself, the tanks, trucks, uniforms, and even made a small show for their fellow Filipinos playing limbo rock.
The rest, beyond description. What a day. :) (I'll post photos soon)
One thing I realized with my trip: I hope, someday, people will grant us freedom to breathe clean, fresh air.
But the best part of this trip was how I let my spirit free. I let myself enjoy God's wonders how amazing He is despite of the pollution, poverty, and how people neglected many things..

Crap Crab
"Azkals are not Filipinos because they are half-breed and doesn't have to play for the Philippines."
"I love Jessica Sanchez because she is a Filipino! She may not be the American Idol, for us, she's our World Idol!"
"Charice! What happened to your hair? Yuck! I'm not proud anymore."
"Cheesa Laureta? Who is she? Ahh, from The Voice."
"WOW! Have you heard of Maria Aragon? Her rendition of Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" is fantastic!"
"Arnel Pineda, how come you didn't retweet my post? I hate you now."
"Jessica Sanchez sings US National Anthem? C'mon, wala kang utang na loob. You should sing Lupang Hinirang!"
"60% Chinese. 40% Filipino. What's your mix?"
"Lumalaki na ulo ni PacMan. Dapat dyan matalo sa laban nya against Bradley."
Crab-mentality at its finest. A Filipino trait that should be broken and should not be passed on future generations. The saddest part is, Filipinos bash their idols if their requests are not granted. Some of our fellow Filipinos bash people who became 'mayabang'.
I'm getting fed up with this issues. What is a Filipino? There is no TRUE Filipino. We have different answers, maybe, personal, emotional, or constitutional. But no one will win in this issue. This is a topic that requires decades of observation, ends without an answer. Like religion, when someone brought up this issue, no one will win.
We are not in the Middle/Dark Ages. We're in the modern, digital, liberal age now. Sadly, some Filipinos are left behind looking for other crabs to pinch on.

Back to Blog
I'm back. I don't know how to manage it, or on how often will I make random blogs. But one thing's for sure: blogging will be part of my life.
I already started doing it in Multiply (with BlackBlog) during college days, but with the sudden surge of Facebook & Twitter in my social media life (and because I became too busy after I graduated), blogging was left in the warehouse.
Now, I will try to blog again. May it be too short or too long (or too violent), I will try to minimize using Twitter and Facebook on my routine. This is my promise. My covenant.
